Peach Bowl, Inc. is the 501(c)3 organization that owns and operates the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl, Aflac Kickoff Game, Southern Company Peach Bowl Challenge charity golf tournament, manages day-to-day operations of The Dodd Trophy Presented by PNC Bank, and was the original recruiter and founding sponsor of the new College Football Hall of Fame in Atlanta. PBI was originally founded by the Georgia Lion’s Club in 1967 and hosted its first NCAA-sanctioned Peach Bowl game in Atlanta in 1968.

Aflac Kickoff Game

Created in 2008 by Peach Bowl, Inc., the Aflac Kickoff Game is a bowl-style, neutral-site game featuring elite football programs on the first Saturday of college football season. Since its inception, the game has hosted teams with national rankings of No. 1 (twice), 2, 3, 5 (twice), 6 (twice), 7, 9 (twice), 14, 16, 18 (twice), 19, 22, 24 (twice) and 25 (three times), and has been nationally broadcast each year. The Aflac Kickoff Game boasts an average attendance of 65,020, a 12.84-point average margin of victory, and has distributed $11.7 million in total team payout.

Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl

Peach Bowl, Inc. operates the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl, the ninth-oldest bowl game in the country and one of New Year’s Six Bowls selected to host the College Football Playoff. Every third year, the Bowl hosts a College Football Playoff Semifinal.
 
The Bowl has earned a reputation as one of the most competitive bowls in the country, with 53 percent (29 of 55) of its games being decided by a touchdown or less. Peach Bowl, Inc. has disbursed $233.1 million in team payouts over its 55-year history. The Bowl also leads all other bowl game organizations in charitable and scholarship contributions, giving more than $62 million to organizations in need since 2002.

The Dodd Trophy Presented by PNC Bank

In 2013, Peach Bowl, Inc. announced a new partnership with the Bobby Dodd Coach of the Year Award Foundation, in which the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl assumed management of The Dodd Trophy, college football’s most prestigious national coaching award. With the goal of positioning the award as “the Heisman Trophy of college coaching awards,” the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl focuses on operations, marketing, sales and communications. Most importantly, the focus of The Dodd Trophy will continue to highlight the Award’s link to its principles of leadership, scholarship and integrity – the cornerstones of Bobby Dodd’s coaching philosophy. Southern Company Peach Bowl Challenge

Created in 2007 by Peach Bowl, Inc., the Southern Company Peach Bowl Challenge is the country’s premier head coach and celebrity charity golf event featuring NCAA head coaches and former athletes and celebrities from the same school competing against their rivals for a share of a $302,500 scholarship purse. Since its creation, the event has distributed $9.3 million in scholarship and charity.
